Last week was eventful for both QAE and our kindergarteners! After our first Writer's Celebration and the QAE Auction, we have brief news as we settle back into our learning this week.
Request for Photos! | Kindergarten Photo Book |
If you were able to attend your child's Writer's Celebration last Friday and happened to snap a few photos, we would love for you to share them! Send them in a quick email to your child's teacher and we will share a slideshow on our blog :) | Kindergarten contributed a special project for the auction this past Friday evening. In a beautiful photo book, our stunning learners are featured along with a quote reporting on the question "What is in your heart?" What a special way to remember our cohort! You'll laugh and cry for years to come then you read what fills these kid's hearts :) If you weren't able to attend Friday, or missed this special project and still want to purchase, please contact your class coordinator! |
Winter Progress Reports
Progress Reports will be sent home in your student’s orange folder on the Friday before spring break begins. Progress reports give some information about how your child is progressing. There is a wide range of normal in kindergarten! Typically, kindergarteners' progress reports will contain lots of 3’s (right on track as a early reader and writer) and lots of D’s (right on track in transitioning to school routines and social kindergarten behaviors). Please do not feel that 3’s and D’s indicate that your child is not amazing and full of potential, but rather that they are amazing and full of potential and are academically right on track.
